Ron Paul

Ron started in web design and marketing in 1995, with the Mosaic browser and a 14,400 baud modem. During his early web years, he joined up with startup Multimedia Live (now Marketlive) where he was mentored by CEO and Founder, Ken Burke and later Broderbund Software where he worked as a core developer for their web site. During the Dot-Com boom, he founded his own web consulting company, Waterbrook Design Company, working as a Project Manager for Wells Fargo, State Farm, and Autodesk. A few years after that, Higher Spectrum Media, LLC was born.

As the President at Higher Spectrum Media, Ron heads up the sales efforts, provides oversight on all projects, and helps to provide top-level leadership and vision for the company as a whole. To maintain his edge in the industry, he has devoted himself to a discipline of contunual learning by studying literally thousands of books, whitepapers and case studies covering online marketing best practices and advances in Internet development.

Ron's core values that help to build a successful business are simple:
Always provide great quality, only settle for the best, and do a job that will make your customers keep you 'Top of Mind' for everything web related. Ron firmly believes that "a customer should be a partner for a lifetime, not just for the life of a project."

In his spare time, Ron enjoys spending time with his lovely wife Karen and wonderful boys John and Joshua. He also enjoys playing the piano, spending time with friends, and, of course, playing around with computers and technology.

Alex Anaya

Alex comes to Higher Spectrum Media With extensive graphics design experience from several different organizations. Alex's training is similar to Ron's in that he has no formal education as a graphics designer. But what he lacks in training he more than makes up for it in an intuitive creative ability that outshines even those with many years of class time under their belt.

With over 15 years in web design, we have seen many graphics designers with varying levels of skill come and go. Simply put, Alex Anaya is hands down the best graphics designer we have ever worked with, PERIOD. We consider ourselves very blessed to have a designer who puts out an excellent product time and time again. With Alex handling the graphical elements of your project, it's sure to make your competition Red (or yellow, or blue) with envy.

Mike Birkhead

Mike comes to Higher Spectrum Media with more than fifteen years of accomplishment-laden experience in Information Technology. A key strategic and tactical contributor, Michael participated in several company IPOs and acquisitions totaling more than $8B in shareholder value. As a seasoned consultant, Michael managed production development on a three-million member portal community and over $1B in pass-through revenue for a major healthcare insurer, providing technical and strategic guidance in online transactions, HIPAA compliance, online security and business best practices.

Michael contributed to the installation of the infrastructure for the Pacific Bell Internet service backbone and launch in California. Michael also served as a catalyst for developing and distributing the original iPhone consumer product in four countries.

A perpetual student, Michael is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley and holds a master of business administration degree from the Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business Management.

Karen Paul

With a Bachelor's Degree in Illustration from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and a heritage of designers and colorists, Karen brings a wealth of experience and intuitive creativity to assist in the design process. With an incredible eye for color, she carefully selects colors that suit the client and imbellishes each one with a flair that makes each website an individual masterpiece.

Karsten McMinn

With over 10 years experience in deploying, developing and managing web applications as well as internet infrastructure Karsten brings to the table a wealth of information and experience. Starting out in a computer shop building PCs in the 90s to working two full time jobs in the IT and Telecom sectors, He has a deep passion for the digital world and matching talents to boot.

You'll find him working as a senior engineer at a popular dot com during the day while working as our freelance developer at night.
